    What are the dimensions (including handles if they have them) for the refillable cups/mugs you can purchase? My grandson has suggested he'd like a variation on a bottle carrier to attach to his backpack, and I want to make it the right size.

    Welcome to planDisney.  With check-in just a few weeks away, your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is going to be here before you know it!  My family's first priority when we arrive at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel always seems to be picking out our new Resort Refillable Mugs –– it doesn't quite feel like our vacation has started till we have them in hand.  Not only are these mugs a great value during your stay, but they also make a great souvenir to take home.  Bringing something to attach the mugs to your bag is a great idea –– I'm sure your grandson is going to love it!

    I pulled out one of our 50th Anniversary Celebration Resort Refillable Mugs from our most recent trip to measure for you and I'm happy to report that the current mugs measure 7.5 inches tall with the lid on by 5 inches wide at the widest part, which includes the handle.  Once you arrive at your Resort, you'll be able to purchase your mugs in the Resort's quick-service restaurant and you can refill your mug at any Rapid Refill Station, even at another Resort.  While mugs can't be refilled with soda, coffee, or tea in Walt Disney World theme parks, one of my favorite tips is to bring them along and ask for a free cup of iced water at any quick-service dining location (you can even pack a small bottle of flavored water enhancer in your park bag, if you'd prefer a flavored beverage).  This way, you'll have an insulated cup with a lid to help you stay hydrated during your day at the park!
