Hi, Garrett!
Welcome aboard the
Disney Magic! This is the original ship in the
Disney Cruise Line fleet, and she is as beautiful today as the first day she sailed. Many guests return time after time for the warm feel of the ship and the amazing hospitality and service provided by the crew.
The stateroom doors on the Disney Magic measure 28.75 inches wide, and 77.75 inches tall. There is a door marker with the room number that is 7.5 inches round. I am guessing you are planning your door decorations. This is a super fun way to get in the spirit of the cruise. Remember that the doors are magnetic so refrain from using any tape or other items that could harm the paint. Please see the
rules for decorating your door.
Many guests not only decorate their doors but hang something from the "fish" that will be on the wall next to your door (which is where the now famous "fish extender" tradition comes from). I usually have a decoration with a string so I can easily loop it around the fish (or seahorse, or whatever creature you have at your room!) I like this so I can easily find my room as I am walking through the corridor.
While onboard, you will enjoy
Rotational Dining which will allow you to try all three of the main dining rooms. My favorite is Rapunzel's Royal Table. There is music, dancing, celebrating, and even a chance to say "HI" to Rapunzel as she makes her way through the dining room. Keep an eye out for the Snuggly Duckling Thugs as they will join in the fun!
One final tip for a smooth sailing: Download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App on your phone. This will be your "go to" for all the activities on the ship. Find character meet and greet times, see what movies are playing in the
Buena Vista Theatre, and even make a
Placeholder deposit for a future cruise. This app has it all!
From your first royal welcome as you board the Disney Magic until your final goodbye on the last morning of your cruise, Captains Mickey and Minnie will make your cruise magical and memorable. Bon Voyage!
