What are the dimensions of the cribs are at the Wilderness Lodge? Our daughter is at the in-between stage from a crib to a toddler bed and we don't know how to proceed with sleeping arrangements. Do we request a crib or bed with side bars?

    Hi Amber!

That age of “in between” is tough when traveling with a young child. Too big for crib and too small for a real bed is a problem of comfort as well as safety.

All of the Disney resorts will not have true cribs as they are a bit smaller then one you would have at home. These are also far and few between and are offered on a first come basis. Most likely you will always be able to get a pack ‘n play type crib which is much smaller. I would suggest you request the bed rails and see if they can work with the bed configuration. If you have a bunk bed option the rails would work nicely on the lower bunk to keep a child secure all night.

If you think the crib is the way to go then because of size and availability I would suggest you contact and reserve from a third party vendor. These locations will deliver and pick up from your resort so although it is an added cost you know what you will be getting for your vacation stay. I can’t say that one is better then another but when you start checking them out make sure they can deliver easily to your resort. Check out the three outside companies Disney suggests on their Stroller Rental page as they will also offer other baby equipment such as cribs.

Enjoy your fabulous Wilderness Lodge stay!
