How difficult will it be to navigate to shows/ meals. I have portable oxygen but have trouble walking distances.

Hi there, Barbi! Welcome aboard, planDisney!

If there’s one thing that Disney Cruise Line does really well (aside from all the magical Disney stuff!), it is making each guest comfortable on their cruise. Vacations feel worry-free, and service is personalized and catered to each guest’s individual needs. This includes any medical and/or mobility requirements. I would be happy to share the process and how Disney Cruise Line can meet these needs for you during your vacation!

To answer your first question of how difficult it would be to navigate to shows and meals, it is essentially not difficult at all, as there are elevators everywhere. However, venues and spaces can be far apart. Therefore, I suggest bringing a mobility device on board if you think it might help you navigate around the ship more easily and quickly.

As for the ease of mobility, each floor has elevators, and some spaces also have ramps available, such as on the pool deck, restaurant entrances, and inside the Walt Disney Theater. This allows for all types of mobility access, including wheelchairs, strollers, and transferring oxygen and medical equipment more easily. Seating also includes many types of seats that accommodate these needs, including spaces for wheelchairs and medical equipment. I’ve been on many Disney cruises and have seen many guests use mobility devices and navigate the activities on board very easily.

The only point to note about using a mobility device is that, should you need one on board, you will need to bring your own, as you can not borrow or rent one from Disney Cruise Line.

As for oxygen services, Disney Cruise Line needs to be notified that you will be bringing oxygen on board. You can notify them either on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or the Disney Cruise Line website. Log in to your reservation and then click “Special Requests”. There will be an option to fill out a “Special Services Form”, which is where any medical requests and notifications take place. Click on it, and there you will see the section for “Oxygen Services”, where you will see the guidelines for bringing oxygen on board, as well as a space where you can indicate the type of oxygen you will be bringing. If you will be using a wheelchair or other mobility device on board, there is also a section for “Mobility Services” here.

After filling out these portions of your reservation, I highly suggest contacting Disney Cruise Line to make sure that all of your information is accurate. This ensures that any requests can be noted and that Disney Cruise Line has all the information they require to ensure the best personalized service for your needs, helping to give you the most magical cruise possible!

Barbi, I hope I was able to offer guidance. I wish you the most beautiful memories on board your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.

    Bon Voyage,
