Hi such a different trip this time, normally have a character meal to break up the day. But with the parks closing so early this time, don't want to lose precious time. Thinking maybe doing DS after parks close for dinner. Any thoughts? 2 adults 1 ch

Hey there, Stacey! Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so happy to chat with you about your upcoming trip this coming October.

While I have not been fortunate enough to visit Walt Disney World since the reopening, I know that when we do make it back home, it will definitely be a different trip than we are used to. A character meal is an amazing way to take a breather during a long visit to the Disney Parks! Now that your visit will be shorter, I think it is a great idea to make alternate plans and perhaps enjoy a leisurely meal after Park hours! However, it is important to know that you can enter an attraction queue up until the time that a Park closes, allowing you to savor each minute! After you finish, you can then head to the Park exit, perhaps enjoying stopping for some last-minute treasures along the way!

Disney Springs is an amazing choice for your evening meal after your Park day. You will find so many options for incredible dining. Some of my favorites are T-REX And Jaleo by Jose Andres (as a native of Spain, it just feels like home!). However, if it is character meals you seek, those will be best found at the Disney Resort Hotels. I would recommend heading to Topolino's Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort for a chance to experience the newest Character meal on property, in a new and exciting (yet socially-distanced) way! The views, menu, and ambiance are out of this world! Not to mention that the Resort is so easily accessible via the Disney Skyliner

Stacey, I hope that this information helps you and your loved ones make brand-new Disney memories! I am sure it will soon be all worth the wait! For more tips on how to make the most of reduced Park hours, check out this amazing answer by my co-panelist Jonathan! As always, know we are here for you anytime we can be of help again in the future.

    See ya real soon!
