What do the different tiers mean when buying a Disney ticket? Can a tier 1 ticket be used on any day or do I have to plan for a specific day?

    Hello Haley!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Summer is the perfect time to visit the Disneyland Resort!

I love the summer days at the Happiest Place on Earth. The SoCal summer weather is perfect for a day in the parks. A DOLE Whip or a Mickey Bar is the perfect way to cool off. If you’re looking for a more exciting treat stop by The Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland Park for an Oasis of Specialty DOLE Whips. They know how to take a DOLE Whip to the next level! Another great place for an ice cold treat is the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop at Disney California Adventure Park. You’ll find their world famous sundaes, ice cream cones, and shakes made with premium Ghirardelli chocolate, Yum!

The Disneyland Resort recently moved to a tier system to better meet guest demand. The easiest way to check pricing is to look at the calendar on the website or on the Disneyland Mobile App. When purchasing a ticket, you’ll pick the day of your visit before you purchase the ticket. The ticket will be valid for one single-day admission on the date you select or on any other date in the same or lower tier. So if you bought a ticket for a Tier 4 day, it would be valid for Tier 4, 3, 2, and 1 days. If you bought a ticket for a Tier 1 day then it’s only valid for Tier 1 because there are no lower Tiers. For this reason, if you’re unsure of the date, wait until the day before or a few days before your visit and buy your ticket on the Disneyland Mobile App. Do me a favor and don’t spend precious park time at the ticket booth the morning of your visit.

Well Haley, I hope this information helps you with planning your visit. If you have any more questions please come back and pay us a visit!

Remember, always believe in the magic!
