    What are the different tiers?

    Hey, Barbara! Welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like you are planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth in just a few short weeks. It's such a lovely time to visit the parks. With the change of the seasons comes some fresh, limited-time offerings from the Food & Wine Festival at California Adventure to the Season of the Force at Disneyland. A little something for everyone!

First things first, though, let's take a look at those theme park tickets. Pricing on 1-Day park tickets varies depending on a few factors including time of the year and day of the week. When you start the check-out process and view the ticket calendar, you will see that each day is assigned a price. When you select a specific date, a box will pop up to indicate which tier the ticket falls into with tier 0 being the least expensive up to tier 6 for some of the busier days. If you complete the purchase, you will secure your ticket in that specific tier and will also have secured a theme park reservation for that specific date all in the same process.

You may be wondering what happens if you need to change the date for your park day. Not to worry, Disneyland knows that sometimes your coach can turn into a pumpkin unexpectedly and provides some flexibility in these instances. Currently, you can change to a date in a tier of equal or lesser value for no additional charge. If the date happens to fall in a higher tier, then you would just pay the difference. Let's take a look! Open up the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner, selecting "My Tickets & Passes". Scroll to the ticket you plan to use, and you should see the option to "Change Ticket" underneath the barcode. You will select the ticket you wish to change followed by "Change Dates". A calendar will appear for you to select your new date also reflecting the cost of the change. Follow the instructions from there!

Barbara, I hope we've cleared a path to the magic for you! If you happen to be celebrating something fun while you are in the parks, be sure to pick up a complimentary "I'm Celebrating" button available at most merchandise locations. This does not need to be a birthday or an anniversary - it can be a new job, a good day, a graduation - you name it! You'll be followed by well wishes throughout your day, making it even more special.
