Hi! We have 2 different resort contracts with an April use year. We want to book 2 trips that will use 2026 use year points and borrow from 2027. If both trips are after April 2026, does it matter when we book these two trips? We’d like to book at7 months.

    Hi Michele,

Welcome home! And welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question today. I always enjoy helping fellow Disney Vacation Club Members make the most of their membership. My family and I have been enjoying the flexibility of our membership for several years now. We just wish we had joined sooner!

Michele, I completely understand the confusion. I also have two contracts and two different Use Years, so I know how tricky it can be to work it all out. Based on the information you have given me, it sounds like you have an April Use Year and plan to use your 2026 Vacation Points, as well as borrow from your 2027 Use Year to use those points in your 2026 Use Year for two different trips. In this situation, since you are booking at the 7-month mark, it does not matter when you make the reservation. You do not need to wait until April 2026 to book, as it is about the points available to you at the time of the reservation, rather than physically available to you at the time of booking.

I know that is a lot to wrap your head around, so I hope that explanation makes sense. If not, please reach out again, and we can work through it together. Alternatively, Member Services would be able to help as they are able to access your full Disney Vacation Club account - I find their online chat super helpful!

I hope this has helped to answer your question today, Michele. Please reach out to me again if you have any further questions about your membership or vacation planning. I hope you enjoy planning these two trips. Planning is half the fun, right?

    See ya real soon!
