Hi Kyle, and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by and sending us another great question!
Having experienced club-level magic at a Disney Resort Hotel, I could talk about this all day! I can tell you that it is one of the easiest ways to plus-up a
Disney Parks vacation! Choosing between club level at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the
Disneyland Hotel is a good problem to have. The most significant difference between the club-level offerings at these two resort hotels is the food offerings and the times of food service. Both lounges have continental breakfast, however, the time is an hour longer at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Snacks are offered at the Disneyland Hotel lounge from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., but afternoon tea is offered at the Grand Californian from noon until 3:00 p.m. Wine and cheese is offered at both lounges, however, it begins an hour earlier, at 4:00 p.m., at the Grand Californian. Both lounges also offer dessert at the end of the day, but it is available for an extra half hour at the Grand Californian.
One significant difference between The Veranda, which is the club-level lounge at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and the E-Ticket Club, the club-level lounge at the Disneyland Hotel, is the accessibility from the theme parks. The Veranda is the most convenient of the two given the close proximity to both
Disney California Adventure Park and
Disneyland Park. Otherwise, both lounges have very similar offerings including personal assistance from the concierge staff and fireworks viewing.
Ultimately, I feel you would be happy with either club-level lounge. I would choose the
Disneyland Resort Hotel that most appeals to you and the one that, overall, has the features and amenities you would enjoy the most.
