what's the different between dining plan and dining card?

    Hi Sim Sim!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Not only is Walt Disney World Resort a wonderful theme park filled with magic and fantasy, it's also a great EAT park too! Did you know that your visit falls within the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival? It's one of my Disney favorites!

The main difference between a Disney Dining Plan and a Disney Dining Card has to do with where you are staying during your visit. Dining Plans are only available to guests who stay at one of Disney's very own resort hotels, while Dining Cards may only be purchased by those who are staying at participating hotels nearby.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, Disney Dining Plans are great because they are a pre-paid all-inclusive way to enjoy a meal without having to think of dining math. Disney Dining Cards are a great vacation addition for their price as you get a bit more value than you would if you purchased the same meals and snacks out of pocket. And bonus, you also get to purchase whatever you'd like from most Quick-Service dining locations.

Even though you still have quite the countdown to go before your visit, have you started making a list of all the beautiful breakfasts, lovely lunches, delicious dinners, scrumptious snacks and delectable desserts you want to try? Follow the Disney Parks Blog for updates of the latest offerings!

We'll See You Real Soon, Sim Sim!
