Ahoy there, Janet! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for pulling alongside with your question! I know that it's never fun to think about having to cancel a cruise, but if that were to ever happen, it's best to know exactly what the cancellation policy is - so great job thinking ahead! That's a planDrew-approved approach if I've ever heard one!
We have all done our best as we've navigated the last few years, and I for one have been SO excited about
Disney Cruise Line's Return to Sailing. Since we're still in some uncharted waters, Disney Cruise Line has made it easy to "
Book with Confidence" with temporary adjustments to the cancellation schedule! I'm excited to let you know, Janet, that the relaxed cancellation policy has been temporarily adjusted to start at 59 days before sail date for most itineraries - including those on the
Disney Wish - for sailings through September 30, 2022!
More specifically, the cancellation fee schedule normally starts at 119 days prior to sailing, and now starts at 59 days prior to sailing. Now remember, this is for Guests booked in non-Suite and non-Concierge categories and reservations for Inside, Outside and Verandah Categories with Restrictions remain nonrefundable and nontransferable. Between this policy and the currently offered Cruise Date Flexibility and Flexible Refund Policies, there's really never been an easier time to make adjustments to your sailings.
I certainly hope that if you have plans to sail on the Disney Wish that nothing happens that requires you to use any of these policies, but for the time being, I hope you find those adjusted policies helpful as you look to continue planning!
Thank you so much for your question, Janet! If you have any others that appear on your map as you chart your course for adventure, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
