Hi Kathleen,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!
We often travel to Walt Disney World Resort with friends and extended family members and, because we’re Disney Vacation Club members, we often stay in
Deluxe Villa accommodations in rooms that can fit up two or more families comfortably. Because that usually means that there are several different households all staying in the same
Disney Resort Hotel room, people want to be able to pay for their purchases separately and not have them all lumped together onto one credit card.
I'm happy to say that there will definitely be a way to accommodate your request. My solution would be to link each member of your party to a different credit card for any purchases made with their
MagicBand (and subsequently charged to their Resort "guest folio"). Then, if people want to pay off their purchases individually each night, it will be possible to do so more easily.
In order to ensure that the MagicBands are set up properly, please mention your request to the Cast Member when you check in to your Resort. It’s also a good idea to check your Resort account in your My Disney Experience app or request a printout of your MagicBands’ respective transactions after your first day in order to double check that everything is being processed correctly. The good news is that it should be relatively easy to untangle any issues that may crop up as each purchase shows which person’s MagicBand was used for the transaction, even if they’re all linked to the same credit card.
I hope my answer helps you plan a wonderful vacation for everyone. As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
