What are the differences to using a magic band vs iphone vs apple watch? Our family has all the devices but trying to figure out which is the best to use in the parks for rides, admission and paying for food and merchandise. Thank you

    Welcome back, Deborah!

It is so great to hEAR from you again! Deborah, which technology works best for your party completely depends on what you are most comfortable with.

I feel very passionate that there is no better technology than my favorite Mousekatool, my MagicBand. Not only do I get to accessorize my outfit in a uniquely Disney way, but I have two little kids. The less time that I have to spend setting anything up on my phone, or scrolling through different screens on my watch face, the better.

You see, while with Disney's MagicMobile Service, you do not have to unlock your phone, you will still have to swipe through your wallet to get to each person's ticket before they can tap into the parks. While I always have my handy Fuel Rod to charge my devices, I prefer to conserve my battery as much as possible for when I really need it. I wouldn't want to risk not having the battery that I needed to make my Lightning Lane selections!

There are essentially no features that your MagicMobile can do that your MagicBand can not. I find that even with all the new technology available, I still prefer to use my MagicBand simply because it is so easy. I do have MagicMobile enabled on my phone through the My Disney Experience Mobile App just in case a member of my party (usually our smallest Mouseketeer) misplaces their MagicBand.

Deborah, I recommend that you set up your MagicMobile and try it out on your first day, I am pretty sure that if you are an experienced MagicBand user, you will come to the same conclusions that I have. If you are looking to MINNIE-mize the number of wearable devices that you have on, you can also take the center puck out of your MagicBand and attach it to the band on your Apple Watch with a handy-dandy puck holder

I hope that this answered your question, Deborah!

    See you real soon!
