Hi Corde,
Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! One of my favorite parts of being a Disney Vacation Club Member is choosing to stay at a different Resort each time we visit
Walt Disney World –– even though we return to Central Florida again and again, each trip feels exciting and fresh. How cool that you'll get to experience a completely new destination with a
Disney Collection exchange!
While Reservation Points and Vacation Points are different, for the purposes of a points transfer, one Reservation Point is equivalent to one Vacation Point (for instance, if you transfer 100 Vacation Points to Reservation Points, you will have 100 points to use toward booking a Disney Collection exchange reservation). The primary difference between booking a Disney Collection Resort reservation and
booking a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation is the process, itself.
Points Charts for Disney Collection Resorts are available online, but checking for availability and booking a reservation must be done by contacting
Member Services at (407) 566-3900.
There is a non-refundable $95 transaction fee applied to each confirmed Disney Collection reservation and most reservations fall under the "Rule of Four", which means each stay must be booked prior to the last four months of your Use Year and used during that Use Year. Modifying or canceling an existing Disney Collection reservation must also be done over the phone by calling Member Services.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Corde. I hope your upcoming Disney Collection stay is truly magical and if you think more questions during the planning process, please don't hesitate to ask!
Happy New Year!
Amy
