Hi there Melisa, it's so great to see ya here at planDisney!
Having lived in Australia myself for a time, I know all too well
the importance of planning ahead for the trek across the ocean and the challenges of purchasing tickets,
Resort Hotel stays, transportation and getting everything sorted - even before taking the exchange rate into account! Gearing up for your upcoming Disney expedition is an adventure all in itself and since you haven't been for several years, I'm glad to lend a bit of Princely knowledge to the cause!
I spoke with a friendly
Vacation Planning and Ticketing Cast Member who was happy to share some added insight that you might find useful:
- Firstly, have a look at the tickets that you've already purchased; from the sounds of it, you may currently have Standard Theme Park Tickets that allow you to visit one park per day. The prices for these tickets may vary dynamically over the course of the year, which may be very different compared to what was in place several years ago, so it's always worth popping in your Start Date on the Ticketing calendar to see the pricing you might expect during the course of your stay.
- The 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket is a limited-time offer that gives guests the opportunity to experience each of the different Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks over four days between June 29 through September 29, 2023. While they don't have to necessarily be on consecutive days and have the added benefit of not requiring a theme park reservation to enter a park, you may only visit one per day. It's important to note that there are also blockout periods (days when these may not be used) during the first four days of July and September.
- Over the span of the validity period of the offer we found that as long as you aren't affected by any of the restrictions, you will be able to save a substantial amount by taking advantage of the 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket. There were even several dates - including the week of your visit - when it turned out to cost less to spend four days being able to see all of the Theme Parks for less than the Standard Ticket Price to visit just three!
I think that if you have the ability to swing an extra day here in Orlando this July, I would absolutely look into swapping the existing tickets over to the greater value that the 4-Park Magic Ticket offers. Have a look at the
My Reservations and Tickets page on My Disney Experience to see whether you can make changes on your own, but
I would also recommend calling directly or visiting the
Disney Ticket Center as soon as you arrive in Orlando; limited-time offerings are subject to availability and may change without prior notice so it's always good to check early!
I'm so glad that you're coming at such an exciting time,
especially with all of the new thrills and experiences at Walt Disney World Resort - be sure to come back to planDisney
any time that you have more questions for us, Melisa!
Here's to some awesome Disney Adventures among Australian friends!
