What is the difference between a 1 BR villa and a studio villa?

Hi Rebecca! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Whether you choose a studio, 1,2 or 3-bedroom the most fantastical thing about staying at Disney Vacation Club villa is you'll feel like you're at home!

The main difference between a studio and a 1-bedroom villa is overall size, a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer.  With the spacious accommodations of a 1-bedroom villa there's plenty of room for everyone to stretch out with at least 2 bathrooms, separate sleeping quarters and a living room space. A full size kitchen and washer and dryer are also standard. In the living room there's a queen-size sleeper sofa and single sleeper recliner chair - this is how a fifth guest is accommodated.

In a deluxe studio villa, you'll have a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, coffee make, mugs, glasses, paper plates, cutlery, a roll of paper towels, dishtowels, a sponge and small bottle of dish washing liquid. Sleeping and living room quarters are combined in this set-up.

We're a family of 6 and we could always book a 1-bedroom villa utilizing the pullout sofa and single chair bed until our twins turned 3 and then we were officially over capacity. We've now moved up to a 2-bedroom villa, which accommodates as many as 9 and we LOVE it! I love having a full sized functioning kitchen, it's a must with our big family. However, when I travel alone I always stay in a studio villa because I don't need to cook full meals...that's always a nice break!

I hope that helps to answer your question, and I wish you a magical and memorable Disney vacation!
