Is there much of a difference between the TS/CS at BOG? Have reservations, but they are on a MNSSHP night at 6:50 - so it's either rush out when we are done, or attend party and miss 1st 2 hours...will kids notice much difference with lunch instead?

    Hi, Megan!

You've got sort of a tough decision to make here, let me see if I can help. I've actually had the pleasure of dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant for both the Quick Service lunch and the Table Service dinner. The experiences were both different, but they were both awesome! The other thing is that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party [MNSSHP] happens to be my VERY FAVORITE special event that takes place at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Lunch at Be Our Guest is nothing shy of amazing! The line outside the restaurant might seem overwhelming when you first see it, but it moves pretty quickly. You'll walk through different rooms of the Castle before you place your order on a touch screen computer. You'll be given a magical rose to take with you and which ever room you decide to have a seat in, your food will be delivered to your table served on china! The Braised Pork was the most delicious I've ever had! The West Wing is open for seating during lunch time too!

Dinner at Be Our Guest is a completely different experience. When you arrive at the Castle, you'll be given a pager upon check-in and you'll be notified when your table is ready. The menu is different from lunch and you'll have a server just like you would at any other Table Service restaurant. The biggest difference is that you cannot sit in the West Wing because The Beast appears in there during dinner and will pose for pictures! It's definitely a great experience as well!

If you want to attend MNSSHP the night you have your Advanced Dining Reservations, I'd definitely recommend eating lunch there instead because you really won't want to miss any of the Party. You could also go to MNSSHP a different night depending on your schedule during your vacation. I'm hoping this information helps with your decision, Megan! Please let us know if we can help with any other aspects of your magical vacation!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
