Hi Jenny and welcome back to planDisney!
It looks like you're a world traveler like myself! Visiting Shanghai Disneyland was the last Disney park around the world that I needed to cross off my Disney bucket list and I got that opportunity in 2018 when I was traveling through Asia with my brother. It was such an amazing experience to visit all of the Disney parks! The Enchanted Storybook Castle is just so gorgeous and is probably my favorite of all the Disney castles.
TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland and
TRON Lightcycle / Run in
Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World are said to be carbon copies of each other, besides the slight difference in name. After doing a little research, I found that the stats are the same on speed and length. TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom operates using a
virtual queue, similar to Shanghai Disneyland's Standby Pass system. You can enter the virtual queue at 7:00 AM or 1:00 PM to try and grab a return time to ride or purchase an
Individual Lightning Lane for it. There is no standby queue available.
Since the two attractions are the same, you could skip it on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, but it's fun to say you've experienced it at both Disney parks. TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland was the only attraction my brother, who isn't as much of a Disney fan as I am, wanted to ride over and over because he loved it so much, so he was excited when TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom opened since it's a lot closer to home.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
