What is the difference between a Star Wars Weekend and a regular day? We are going the week BEFORE the 20th of May 2011. So I'm wondering if anything will be open with Star Wars. Should I change my travel dates?!

    Hi there Jason!

There are only two things that Star Wars Weekend and a regular park day have in common, Jedi Training Academy and Star Tours 2 (which coincidentally opens May 20, 2011). During Star Wars weekends, there are Authentic Star Wars characters all around Hollywood Studios as well as Star Wars specific parades and shows. I'm not going to tell you to change your plans but if you are a really big Star Wars fan, then I would try your best to make it to one of the four weekends. Just to let you know, we were there last year for our first time and we're going back again this year because it was so much fun! I hope this helps with your planning. Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel. Have a great time at the Walt Disney World Resort and May the Force be with You.
