Difference between standard and preferred parking

    Hello Ron!

I see that you are planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and are interested in the difference between parking levels at the theme parks.

There are two options for parking at the four theme parks in Walt Disney World: Standard Parking and Preferred Parking. Standard Parking is typically farther away from the entrance to each theme park, and often Guests have to take a Tram to avoid walking a long distance to get into the theme park. Preferred Parking is generally closer to the theme park entrances, and it provides a shorter walk to the park gates as well as a quicker entry at the beginning of your Disney day and exit after your Disney day is complete. Standard Parking is currently priced at $25.00 a day for a car or motorcycle. Preferred Parking is presently priced between $45.00 to $50.00 per day for a car or motorcycle (the Preferred Parking price is seasonal and will vary based on the date you visit).

I hope that you have an outstanding Walt Disney World vacation!
