What is the difference between signature dining and special/unique dining experiences or are they the same? I purchased the deluxe dining plan and am interested in booking a reservation to Via Napoli but didn't know how many meals the plan would use.

    Hi Shelly!

Great decision on purchasing the Deluxe Dining Plan!  You will be sure to have some fantastic meals during your Walt Disney World vacation.

Signature Dining and Special and Unique Dining are not the same.  Signature Dining restaurants will use 2 of your dining credits.  These are the upscale, elegant restaurants around Disney World such as California Grill at the Contemporary or Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge.  These restaurants will provide you with signature cuisine choices, excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Restaurants categorized under Special and Unique Dining on the Disney World website are simply special and unique.  This could be because of any entertainment provided at the restaurant or the atmosphere.  Whispering Canyon Cafe is unique because of the lively servers and fun activities you get to participate in during your meal.  Via Napoli at Epcot is special because of the hand-crafted pizza and the flavors of Italy.  These restaurants will use 1 of your dining credits.

To view a full list of restaurants, their classifications and how many credits they use, view the  2012 Disney Dining Plan brochure.

    Have a magical day!
