What is the difference between a -1 and just a 1 for a restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan? Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your question!  If I understand your question correctly, you’re asking about how the credit entitlements work when you’ve chosen to add one of the Disney Dining Plans to your Magic Your Way Package for your upcoming vacation.

Whether you’re chosen the Deluxe Dining, Dining, or Quick Service Dining package, the entitlements work largely the same way: you get a certain number of credits to use during your stay, depending on the number of nights during which you’ll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, and depending on the type of Dining Plan you’ve purchased.  When you dine at a location that is a participant in the Disney Dining Plan, the credits that you'll need to use for that meal (table service, quick service or snack) will be deducted from your entitlement total.  Please note that some table service meals, dinner shows or dinner packages may cost two of your table service credits.

For more information about how the Disney Dining plan that you’ve chosen to purchase works, please refer to the In-Depth Planning Guide for Disney Dining Plans for more information.

I hope that this answers your question.  If it doesn’t, or if you have any other questions about your upcoming trip, please contact us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and we’ll be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
