Hi Jeanette! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am happy to help you prepare for your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! One of the things I look most forward to on our vacations is the food. There are a lot of delicious options to choose from and I always have a list of things I want to try during each visit. Yum!
Quick-Service dining locations are typically spots where you order in a line or through the
My Disney Experience mobile app, pick-up your food at the window, then find a table on your own. It is more self-service dining.
Table-Service dining locations are restaurants that you make a reservation for and are seated by a host with a Cast Member coming to your table and assisting you by taking your order and bringing the food or drinks to you.
There are both Quick-Service and Table-Service locations that offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An example of breakfast at Quick-Service would be that you go up to the Cast Member and order a plate of Mickey-shaped waffles, wait while they are prepared, and then take them back with you to find a table. With Table-Service, you would be seated at your table and given a menu first, have your order taken at your table by the Cast Member, then have everything brought to you. It also includes the ability to ask for drink refills, condiments, etc. You would tip the Cast Member assisting you at this experience, as well.
Hopefully this has helped clear up any confusion between the two, Jeanette! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
