What is the difference between quick service dining meal and quick service dining plan? If we have the dining meal can we upgrade to the plan when we arrive and if so how much for 24 days?

    Hi Nikki! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm happy to hear that you're planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Before you know it, you'll be arriving for an amazing holiday filled with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories.

For select bookings in 2026, Walt Disney World is providing Free Dining & Drinks for Guests from the UK who book by November 5th, 2025. Depending on what type of Disney Resort hotel you book determines the level of Dining Plan included with your stay. For example, if you choose a Value Resort, the Disney Quick-Service Meal Plan will be provided at no additional cost. If you go for a Moderate Resort, the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is what you will receive. While these options may sound alike, they are different for a few reasons. The Quick-Service Meal Plan only comes with one quick-service meal each night of your stay, while the Quick-Service Dining Plan comes with two meals, a snack, and a refillable drink mug.

If your booking includes the Meal Plan, you can upgrade to the Quick-Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan before you arrive for an additional cost. I suggest doing so in advance of your arrival to ensure that this is taken care of. Currently, the system only allows Guests to book resort stays up to 21 nights, which is how long the dining plans will last. I would double-check your length of stay and ensure that the meal plan you currently have booked will last for the duration of your holiday. The Disney Dining Plan is the top-tier and includes one Quick-Service meal and one Table-Service meal each night of your stay.

Nikki, I hope this information helps you decide what to choose. Have a magical time during your trip and stop back to see us again at planDisney!
