What is the difference in purchasing a One Day ticket for Magic Kingdom and a One Day ticket to Animal Kingdom versus purchasing a multi day ticket? I want to go to Magic Kingdom one day and Animal Kingdom another day.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Catherine! You’re nearly set for some magical days at Walt Disney World Resort! My crew of Mouseketeers loves all the family-friendly attractions at Magic Kingdom and exploring our WILD side at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There are a few differences between these ticket types, but mostly just in price.

There are single day tickets to a park of your choice (different parks carry different price points) that range from $102.00 to $122.00. You can also choose a multi day park ticket to visit a single park per day for about $209.00. This 2-day ticket saves you some money, which I’m sure you will like.  The third option is a 2 day Park Hopper, which will allow you to spring from park to park over the course of your days (my family loves to go to one park in the morning and after naps switch gears). The price jumps a bit with this option, but it looks like you want 1 park per day. You won’t feel rushed when you’re exploring the park from Rope Drop to the last few minutes with a 2-day ticket with no Park Hopper option.

You can purchase that 2-day ticket at the ticket windows at the parks or online at this ticket portal. I highly recommend the online purchase so that you can immediately start planning your FastPass+ reservations as your arrival day nears. You can book 60 days out when staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or 30 days when staying offsite. If you have more questions as you continue to plan, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
