Hi Margo,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for swimming by with your question. My family flipped our fins at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort last year, and we had a
fin-tastic time! We loved exploring the different themed areas all around the resort, which are perfect for taking photos, and we thought the Landscape of Flavors food court was excellent. We were singing “hakuna matata” as we played and relaxed in this beautiful setting.
In my experience, the
Finding Nemo Family Suites are typically more expensive per night than the Cars or Lion King Family Suites, although room rates do vary and are subject to change. The amenities in the family suites are identical, so my guess is that the increased price is because of location. The Finding Nemo Family Suites are closer to Animation Hall, which is the resort’s main building, where you’ll find the food court, gift shop, and bus stops. They’re also closer to the resort’s feature pool, the Big Blue Pool, though you’ll find
pools in the Cars and The Little Mermaid areas as well.
Margo, my family didn’t mind walking through this resort one bit, and if I were choosing, I would select my room based on budget and theming. There are so many Disney details in the rooms, buildings, and all around the resort, and it’s such fun to search for them with your family. We found something new every day of our stay!
I hope this has helped you make your decision! Please hop back into the EAC and follow Crush back over to us if you have any further questions - it's a pleasure to help a fellow Guest with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
