What is the difference in price if you let your annual pass expire and get a new one later on

    Hi Evelyn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Walt Disney World passholder with a question.

While discounts are subject to change without notice and may vary based on the pass you have, I can tell you that I took advantage of a 15 percent discount when I renewed my Florida Resident annual pass a few days ago. Because we live less than 90 minutes away from Walt Disney World and we seldom go more than a month without a visit, letting our passes lapse doesn't usually make sense financially for us.

However, if you are not going to be at Walt Disney World again for several weeks or months after your pass expires, the amount of the discount may not be enough to justify renewal for you. I would want to be sure my annual pass period covered as many vacations as possible.

Annual passes can be renewed from 60 days before expiration until 30 days after the expiration date. If you are within that 90-day window, you should be able to go into your My Disney Experience account and click on Renew My Passes in the Tickets and Passes section to see exactly what the cost will be for you.

Or, if you want to talk through the math with a Cast Member, you can call the special passholder number, (407) 560-7277.

I hope that helps, Evelyn. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We will do our best to give you the answer you need.
