What is the difference in Port Orleans resorts? What would be benefit of staying at one over the other? We've always stayed at CBR so we're excited about the change. Want a room with pull out or daybed. Let the planning begin!

Hi, Amy! Thanks for coming back to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You really can’t go wrong with either of these two picturesque Resorts! Disney`s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter evokes the Antebellum Era and is the smallest of all Moderate Resorts, which can make it a little easier to get around. Disney`s Port Orleans Riverside Resort happens to be my favorite Moderate Resort! We actually stayed there on our honeymoon! Although both resorts have a Quick Service Restaurant, only Riverside offers a Table Service option at Boatwright’s Dining Hall. Another plus to Riverside is the family-friendly musical stylings of YeHaa Bob Jackson at River Roost Lounge. Riverside has two differently themed areas- Aligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. In Magnolia Bend, you and your family can stay in enchanting Royal Guest Rooms! If you are looking for the pull-down daybeds, Aligator Bayou section is where you can find them. Riverside tends to offer more variety of leisure activities, while French Quarter offers a more intimate atmosphere. You can also jump on a ferryboat to take you to Disney Springs from both Resorts for great food, entertainment, and shopping!

Have a magical day and happy planning!
