What is the difference between the PhotoPass, PhotoPass+, and MemoryMaker? I will be travelling with a group, and my son will be in a different group on occasion. How do I make sure to capture all of our pictures, even if we're not together?

Hello there, Kari! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney PhotoPass Service allows you to have all your pictures taken by PhotoPass photographers, as well as ride photos, in one place. Once you return home from your vacation, you can visit the Disney PhotoPass website and view all your PhotoPass photos. Your photos are available to purchase as well as photo related merchandise. There is no fee to use this service and you are not obligated to purchase any of the photos taken.

Disney Memory Maker is used along side Disney PhotoPass Service. Memory Maker allows you to download each and every Disney PhotoPass picture that is taken of your family while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort for one flat cost. If you are purchasing Memory Maker, do so at least three days in advance so you are able to take advantage of the advance purchase discount.

As long as your son is under your My Disney Experience account, he simply needs the PhotoPass photographer to scan his band after taking photos. These photos will then be included in your account. More than one band may be scanned, so if others in the group would like the picture under their account they may also have their bands scanned.

I find Disney Memory Maker to be an incredible value. Downloading just twelve photos, your Disney Memory Maker has already paid for itself. We just returned a couple weeks ago from our last Walt Disney World vacation. I downloaded a whopping 164 photos from our visit! You will be surprised exactly how many wonderful pictures the Disney PhotoPass photographers capture during your visit. We won't vacation without this service.

Wishing you and your son a magical vacation, Kari!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
