Which is the difference between photopass and memorymaker?

Heya, hiya, Ana! Sending you a warm California welcome to planDisney!

One of my favorite parts of any Disney vacation is that it’s more than just the attractions and shows—it’s the moments you get to capture along the way. From a castle backdrop at golden hour to a burst of laughter mid-adventure, the right photo can transport you back to the magic long after your visit ends. That’s where Disney PhotoPass and Memory Maker come in to help preserve those memories.

Disney PhotoPass is the service itself—the team of friendly photographers you’ll spot throughout the theme parks, ready to capture magical moments in front of icons like Sleeping Beauty Castle. PhotoPass also includes those fun on-ride photos, like when you’re racing through hyperspace on Space Mountain or making a splash on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!

At the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Guests can purchase Memory Maker, which is a one-time add-on that lets you download all of the photos and videos taken by the PhotoPass service during your visit. Think of it as the all-access pass to every memory captured while you’re there.

Here on the West Coast at the Disneyland Resort, things work a little differently. There isn’t a Memory Maker product, but you can still enjoy unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos. My favorite way to do this is by purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which not only helps you save time in line at select attractions at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, but also includes unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads during your day. If you’d prefer not to take advantage of Lightning Lane access, you can also purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Day, which gives you access to all of your photos for that day.

And here’s a helpful tip, Ana: you can use the Disneyland mobile app to see where PhotoPass photographers are scheduled to be located throughout the parks. Just open the app, tap the map pin at the bottom, and tap the “PhotoPass” filter at the top. This feature is perfect for planning those castle shots or catching a magical moment with a character.

No matter which coast you’re visiting, Ana, Disney PhotoPass is a wonderful way to capture enchanting moments together without anyone having to step out of the shot to snap the photo!

Wishing you a visit full of picture-perfect memories!
