What is the difference between the Memory Maker package and the Capture Your Moment package?

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for sending your great question to us here at planDisney!  One of my favourite things in the world is photography, and I love how when I'm at Walt Disney World Resort there are plenty of opportunities to make memories with  Memory Maker a Disney PhotoPass Product and Capture Your Moment - A Disney Parks Photo Experience.  Memory Maker allows guests to download all of your Disney PhotoPass media, including Magic Shots and select photos and videos from Attractions, whereas Capture Your Moment - A Disney Parks Photo Experience is a personalized photo session with one Disney PhotoPass Photographer, throughout Magic Kingdom Park.

Memory Maker is a more inclusive digital download package that includes all your photos and videos from multiple locations on Walt Disney World Resort Property.  There are Disney PhotoPass Photographers located all around Walt Disney World Resort, ready to take your photo in iconic locations, making it easy to get that perfect picture.  When a Disney PhotPass Photographer takes your picture throughout any of the four Theme Parks and at Disney Springs, the photographer will add the photos to either your MagicBand, PhotoPass card or a personal QR code that link the photos to your My Disney Experience Account.  From there, you will be able to download and share your photos, at your convenience.

There are several options to purchase Memory Maker, the first is Memory Maker One Day which gives the guest access to all of their photos taken from that specific day, perfect if you have a quick visit planned, but aren't staying for multiple days.  The next option is to purchase Memory Maker for your entire vacation.  This option will allow you to download all of your photos and videos in your Disney Account.  Guests have the choice to purchase in advance or upon arrival and Advanced Purchase it is slightly cheaper than purchasing when you arrive.  The Advanced purchase option must be purchased at least three days prior to using Memory Maker.

In comparison, The Capture Your Moment - A Disney Parks Photo Experience gives guests a one-on-one photo session with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer to capture some unique photos of your party.  This is a great way to commemorate a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary, or just a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World!  The photographer will take guests to at least two locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park for a 20 minute personal photo session.  With this package, photos are not included, however if you purchase Memory Maker the photos will be included at no extra cost. Personally, I like to purchase Memory Maker as well as the Capture Your Moment - A Disney Parks Photo Experience, it gives me a great variety of photos and memories from my Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Michael.  Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your vacation.  We are always happy to help!

    ~ Stephanie
