Hi Melissa! Thank you for reaching out to planDisney.
Memory Maker is something I always encourage Guests to purchase if they are staying multiple days at the
Walt Disney World Resort. I am someone who loves to capture memories but I also don't want to have to always worry about getting the right photo myself, keeping track of them all, asking random strangers to take pictures, or worse, deciding who will have to sit out a photo opportunity so
they can take the picture! Memory Maker takes away those worries! You can have friendly
PhotoPass Cast Members take pictures throughout your vacation, have your attraction photos automatically linked to your
My Disney Experience mobile app, and even participate in exclusive photo opportunities! Then, you have 45 days from the date the photos were taken to download them. It's so convenient!
To answer your question, there is only one difference between the Advance Purchase and the During & Post-Vacation Memory Maker packages: the price. If you purchase Memory Maker at least 3 days before your vacation, you can take advantage of pre-arrival savings. If you purchase it later than that, during your vacation, or after your vacation, you will pay more to activate the service. Other than that, there really is no difference!
My recommendation is that once you are sure that you want the service, purchase it. This way, you won't forget to purchase it before your trip and then have to pay extra money for the same package later.
Melissa, if you purchase Memory Maker in advance, once you are on your trip, you will need to activate it. But don't worry, it's very easy! Before you leave, ensure it is
linked to your My Disney Experience account. Then, when your first photos have been taken during your trip, tap on a photo on the My Disney Experience mobile app, and choose "Activate." This will remove the watermarks on any photos already taken and ensure you're set to capture all of your magical memories!
Have a great trip! If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to reach out again
Today's special moments are tomorrow's memories,
Matt
