Hi there, JoElla, and welcome back to planDisney!
Believe it or not, your April vacay will be here in the blink of an eye. So, it's great that you're visiting us here at planDisney to prepare for your next great adventure. I am more than happy to share everything I know about Disney World Lightning Lane options with you.
To start, Lightning Lanes are the key to shorter lines for attractions at the Disney Parks. There are three types of
Lightning Lanes (and you may want to use a combination of one or more when you visit): Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass. You can purchase these passes and make your experience selections up to 7 days before your vacation arrival date if you're staying at an eligible hotel or up to 3 days before if you're staying somewhere else. I love having the ease of knowing exactly when I'll experience a certain ride and knowing that I won't be in line for long.
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass covers faster access to many rides in one day. Once you've started scanning and redeeming your selections, you can immediately use the
My Disney Experience app to select even more until the day is done. But to get into the faster line for top attractions like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT) and
TRON Lightcycle / Run (Magic Kingdom), you'll need a Lightning Lane Single Pass. These passes give you access to just that one popular attraction and you do not need Multi Pass to qualify for this purchase. You can only hold up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per day.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you like the option of pre-purchasing Lightning Lanes, but you don't want to put yourself in an arrival window box, you can opt for the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. With this pass, you can access every attraction's Lightning Lane at any time of the day on that particular day. Although you can only use it once per attraction, this option makes you feel like you have the keys to the kingdom.
I hope that this pass breakdown helps, JoElla! Please
stop by planDisney the next time you have a Disney vacation planning question. Any of the panelists would love to share their experiences with you!
Magic always,
LeAndra
