What is the difference between Kidani Village and Jambi House at Animal Kingdom Lodge? Any advantages to staying at one over the other? Do each have their own dining and shopping?

    Hi Laura,

Both Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village are wonderful. Both feature rich, beautiful African decor, and have savannas with exotic animals that you can see outside of so many windows.

It might help to know that Jambo House refers to the original building of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House are located in this building. The Kilimanjaro Club Concierge accommodations are also located in Jambo House, as well as the value accommodations. Kidani Village is close by to Jambo House, but is separate from that building.

While each of Kidani Village and Jambo House do have their own shopping and dining, it is relatively easy and quick to get between the two and you are welcome to partake in the shopping and dining at both. For table service and buffets, Jiko - The Cooking Place and Boma - Flavors of Africa are located at Jambo House. Sanaa is located at Kidani Village. I love the exotic fare available at all of these locations! One difference is that the major quick-service location, The Mara, is located at Jambo House. Overall, Jambo House does have more dining locations.

I am perfectly happy staying at both of these resorts! I have a slight preference for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. Jambo House has a wonderful energy, but the additional restaurants and the resort hotel rooms located there increase the hustle and bustle. Which for some guests may be positive! Either way, I do not think that you can make a bad decision.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Laura. Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
