Hey there, Joyce! It's great to see you here at planDisney with another question. Just as some of our favorite Disney heroes and heroines had behind-the-scenes helpers to guide in their pursuits, here at planDisney we like to think of ourselves as honorary Fairy Godmothers, at the ready for all of your planning needs.
Joyce, there is just something special about being in the parks when the sun goes down. The vibe of Disney in the dark adds an extra crackle of Magic and I'm happy to chat with you about these two unique opportunities.
First,
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, are available on select days of the week for guests of
Deluxe and
Deluxe Villa resorts. The parks and hours do change, so what you might find in July is likely going to be different than what's available at other times of the year. So, for example, on Monday, June 19th, the
calendar shows Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT. If you were staying at a resort such as Disney's Riviera Resort and had a valid theme park ticket with a Disney Park Pass reservation for EPCOT, a valid Park Hopper ticket, or an annual pass, you would be welcome to enjoy the park late that evening.
Now, Joyce, completely separate, but also in the dark is the ticketed event,
Disney After Hours. Unlike Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, this is
available to any guest and is not connected to a Disney Resort hotel stay. However, this is a ticketed event, meaning you'll need to purchase a ticket for this event separately from any standard park tickets. If you want to visit a park prior to this event, you would still need a standard park ticket. Many guests, however, choose to plan a rest day and enter the park only for this event. With the cost of admission, you'll also have complimentary snacks and treats like Mickey ice cream bars!
Joyce, I hope this helps as you're dreaming about summer nights at
the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney.
