    What is the difference on Genie and Genie plus?

    Welcome to planDisney.  How exciting to be planning your next visit, I am happy to help you!

    You have never had a friend like the Disney Genie!  The Disney Genie service is a complimentary service incorporated into your My Disney Experience Mobile App.  This service includes many features to assist you with customizing your Disney day!  My favorite features are the current wait times listed for most attractions and mobile food ordering.  Click on the above link to watch a couple of short videos which will give you an overview of how the Disney Genie will help you to plan your day.

    I'm so glad you asked about Disney Genie+ Service, let me tell you more about this offering.  Disney Genie+ Service is an optional purchase that can help you bypass the standby queue and save time.  You can purchase the Disney Genie+ Service on the day you visit a theme park any time after midnight.  If you purchase Disney Genie+ Service, at 7 am you will be able to make your first Lightning Lane selection.  I highly recommend making your first selection as soon as it is available in order to maximize your day.  Therefore, purchasing Disney Genie+ Service prior to 7 am is your best strategy.  Separately, you can purchase Individual Lightning Lane selections whether or not you have purchased the Disney Genie+ Service.  These Individual Lightning Lane selections are available for select attractions that are not offered with the Disney Genie+ Service.
