What is the difference between the free transportation and paying for the park hopper?

Hi Claudia!  All Disney resort guests are offered free Disney property transportation as well as the use of the Magical Express service from the airport.  The Disney transportation includes all buses and boats throughout the property.

The Park Hopper addition to any park ticket is not concerning transportation.  It is simply the option to be able to visit as many parks as you wish as many times as you wish on the same day.  You can start out at the Magic Kingdom for breakfast, head over to Hollywood Studios for lunch, then end your day in EPCOT for the Illuminations show.  You can "hop" from one place to the other with no extra cost or needing to buy individual park tickets for the same day.  Our family loves this option since we often don't want to spend an entire day in one place. We enjoy dining at the different locations and it allows you some freedom to choose from great park restaurants.  We also like the freedom to leave a park we find a bit too busy and head to another instead.

Hope this helps you with the explanation and with the decision on what type of ticket plan your family will need.
