What is the difference between the first dinner with Remy and a regular dinner night with Remy? And what is the Petites Assiettes de Remy?

    Hi Kristine Michelle!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to hEAR you will soon be embarking on a Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Planning for it is so much fun, but get ready because once you step onboard the real fun starts!

I am glad you are considering dining at one of the adult-exclusive restaurants onboard.  In my opinion, a meal at Palo or Remy is not to be missed and I highly recommend it to everyone I know who sets sail with Captain Mickey!  And, I don’t think anyone has ever regretted that decision!  If you are concerned about missing a dining experience in one of the main dining rooms, my suggestion would be to book your adult dinner reservation for later in the evening and then you can take your littles to the main dining room for their meal (and maybe an appetizer if something looks too good to pass up on the menu) and then head to your dinner after!  We will often do this so that I am certain my boys actually eat their dinner as they can easily get distracted in the Youth Clubs during mealtimes AND we all get to experience the restaurant!

When your onboard booking window opens, you will be able to book your reservations for onboard fun, including adult-exclusive dining.  At that time, Guests are allowed to book one dinner reservation UNLESS they opt to book adult-exclusive dining on the first night.  If you choose to book a dinner reservation at Palo or Remy for embarkation day then you can also book another reservation, if you choose!  Often Guests prefer to not book on embarkation day because they want to meet their incredible dining room servers and are busy getting acquainted onboard!  The Petites Assiettes de Remy is a six-course tasting menu that is guided by Remy’s Executive Chef and Sommelier.  I have yet to experience this, but it’s certainly on my bucket list to do!  I have only heard incredible things about this exclusive dining experience!

Hopefully you’ve got your Online Check-In and onboard booking window date marked big and bold on your calendar!  At the strike of midnight (EST), you will be able to book all of these fun and exciting onboard activities!  Quick hint…you do NOT need to complete your Online Check-In before booking onboard activities, so I always recommend booking those activities first and then completing the Check-In process!

    Wishing you an incredible voyage,
    Stephanie
