What is the difference between the fast pass and the fast pass + ?

Hello Nancy, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

Planning a magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is about finding ways to save time and money and to experience as nuch magic as possible. The FastPass system has been retired at the Walt Disney World Resort. It used to require guests to use their admission cards at attraction kiosks to receive a FastPass on paper for the next time slot available. They would return to the ride, show or attractions FastPass line at a designated time listed on the pass.

FastPass+ is the new upgraded system that has been in place for the last several years. It allows guests with a prepaid admission to make selections 30 days in advance. Guests staying at a Resort Hotel on Disney property can make their selections 60 days in advance. You can redeem your FastPass+ selections by touching your MagicBand or card at the touch point. You will want to make sure that everyone in your travel party has their theme park tickets linked to their My Disney Experience accounts prior to your FastPass+ selection day. You can make your selections starting at 7:00 a.m. online or on your smartphone or tablet device using the My Disney Experience app. If you have any more questions before you arrive, do not hesitate to visit us again.
