What is the difference between early entry by staying at a Disneyland resort hotel and the magic morning entry you get with the purchase of 3 or more day pass? It seems like they overlap but Disney seems to advertise them as separate perks?

    Greetings, Kasey!

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question. I'd be happy to help answer your question about these magical morning perks at the Disneyland Resort.

When staying on property at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, Guests are entitled to an "Extra Magic Hour" every day of their stay including check-in and check-out day (with valid park admission). Depending on which park is offering an Extra Magic Hour each day, Guests will be able to visit that park for one full hour prior to park opening. "Magic Morning" on the other hand is a similar offering that also includes one hour of morning park time but is only offered at Disneyland Park (not Disney California Adventure Park) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Since one Magic Morning is included with purchases of 3+ day park tickets, you will want to plan ahead so you know exactly which day you want to use this early bird benefit.

These morning perks are priceless to my family, because this is when we tend to ride the most attractions with the littlest wait times. I also love this time to take pictures in front of park icons with the fewest amount of people in my photos.

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
