What is the difference between the 2 Disneyland parks. Having a hard time deciding which to attend..???

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Jennifer!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited you are planning your first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. I also have a feeling it will not be your last. The Disneyland Resort is comprised of two amazing theme parks, the Downtown Disney District, and three wonderfully themed Disneyland Resort Hotels.

Disneyland Park is the original Disney theme park that started it all back in 1955. It is comprised of 8 themed lands that whisk you away into yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy. Here you will find many classic attractions that have stood the test of time such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride to name a few. You can also currently see entertainment here such as the Pixar Play Parade and Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. Don't be surprised if you also bump into many of your favorite Characters roaming around this park. Some of my favorite things about Disneyland Park are the eats and treats such as the famous Dole Whip, corn dogs, and churros.

In Disney California Adventure Park, you can explore more themed lands and live in stories of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. I love feeling like I am in a real redwood forest in Grizzly Peak or cruising down Route 66 in Cars Land. Now open is also the brand new Pixar Pier which takes you through INCREDIBLE attractions as well as serving up some adorable cuisine.

To get the full Disneyland Resort experience, I highly recommend spending at least two days so you can explore both parks or purchasing a Park Hopper ticket.

I hope this helps, and have a magical day!
