What’s the difference between limited, signature, designer or deluxe princess dresses that Disney sells. Dresses are expensive and I want to make sure I order the right one, for the price.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Beverly! There are so many different kinds of dresses, I can’t blame you for wanting to find just the right one, much like Prince Charming wanted to find the girl with the slipper. I’m glad to help you on your royal hunt! The Costume Collection for Kids is widely sold at Disney Stores, ShopDisney.com and the Shop Disney Parks App. These dresses retail for around $40, though you may be able to find one on sale. The Limited Edition dresses are just that; a limited batch of a design released at a slightly higher price point that will be discontinued.

The Designer Collection has many details and touches that are unique to the design of a dress. Currently, you can find an Ariel Disney Designer Dress featuring inspiration from her wedding to Prince Eric, featuring rhinestone buttons at a price around $100. Lastly, you have the Signature Collection, which was debuted in 2017. This extravagant collection of 4 dresses (Rapunzel, Cinderella, Belle and Aurora) boasts glittery filigrees, scalloped layered skirts, embroidery, faux rhinestone buttons, satin underlays and Princess signatures in silver threads. These dresses also come with a satin hanger and organza bag to keep your treasure clean!

If you have small kids like I do, the Costume quality serves nicely for a Parks trip and playing dress up. The Designer Collection is great for older kids who want something nice, while the Signature collection is for those really special occasions when only a Royal touch will do! If I can help you accessorize a costume or help you find a dress that’s perfect for your Princess, please let me know. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! ~ Lindsey P.
