what is the difference between a 5 day ticket and a 4 day plus 1 ticket?

    Hello Jeanette!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! While the official Walt Disney World Theme Park Ticket Page does not sell the “4-Day Plus 1” or “4-Day with Extra Day” as it is sometimes called, this wording is sometimes seen on sites that are authorized ticket resellers. I know I have seen this wording used on places like Undercover Tourist.

This is just clever wording and the specially worded ticket is no different than a standard 5-Day Ticket. If you compare the prices, you’ll notice that the “4 Plus” ticket has the same price as the 5 Day.

I think these terms are used to catch the purchaser’s attention that a 5-Day Ticket can be a better value on a per-day basis than a 4-Day Ticket.  Sometimes you'll hear the phrase, “The more you play, the less you pay per day!” The price difference between a 4-Day and a 5-Day ticket isn’t that large, and so it can make sense to stay an extra day. (Or two, or three!) When possible, I always recommend staying at least 5 days so that you can have time to see more of the parks, as well as relax a little and enjoy your resort.

I hope this helps to answer your question, Jeanette! Please let us know what other questions you have as you plan your visit. We love to talk Disney!
