What is the difference in cost between the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Plus Dining Plan? Thank you, Tony

Hey there, Tony! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question!

I love chatting with fellow guests about dining around the Walt Disney World Resort and am so happy to help you out today. Earlier this year, the Disney Parks Blog announced that a new dining plan would be available, the Disney Dining Plan Plus. I like to think of this dining plan as a step in between the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, since it provides added flexibility and dining entitlements that can be used for either Table-Service or Quick-Service meals.

While it's important to remember that prices are subject to change, and rates for 2021 have not yet been released, currently the cost (for guests ages 10 and up) to add the Disney Dining Plan to your Disney Resort Hotel package is $78 per guest, per night. The newest offering, The Disney Dining Plan Plus is $95 per guest, per night. The difference in cost for the younger Mousketeers (guests ages 3-9) is $30.50 for the Disney Dining Plan versus $34 per child, per night for the Disney Dining Plan Plus.

Tony, if your family is like mine and enjoys feeling like Royalty at a Signature Dining Restaurant or relishes dinner with a show, the Disney Dining Plan Plus, like Cinderella's glass slipper, may be a perfect fit. However, if attractions are high on your list and you're hoping for meals that will get you back to the fun faster, the original Disney Dining Plan, may work better for your crew. Tony, in addition to the cost comparison, I would recommend deciding what types of restaurants you're hoping to visit before you choose which plan best fits your vacation needs.

Tony, I hope this helps as you are dreaming about your upcoming vacation and all of the delectable meals in your future. Please stop back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have.

Wishing you a vacation as delicious as Tiana's beignets.
