Hey there Kristopher,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! I love staying at one of the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort during my visits - they help to keep the Disney Magic going through the whole trip and you get access to the
Early Entry option!
It sounds like you're trying to decide between a 1 Bedroom Junior Suite and a 1 Bedroom Family Suite. Looking at the
Disneyland Hotel website, the 1 Bedroom Junior Suite is typically going to be a bit smaller than the family suite - though suite capacity does vary and is based on your booked party size.
The 1 Bedroom Family Suite can sometimes include a balcony (the junior suites do not), they can sleep up to 6 adults and vary in configurations to include 1 king bed and 1 queen-size sleeper sofa or 2 queen beds and 1 queen-size sleeper sofa.
The 1 Bedroom Junior Suite can sleep up to 4 adults configurations typically include 1 king bed, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin-size pull-down bed.
You can see photos of each of these room types on the
Disneyland Hotel Rooms page if you'd like to see the differences yourself.
It looks like you'll be headed to the Happiest Place on Earth this October, which is a fantastic time to visit. Make sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog this summer to hear more about all of the fun things that will be happening around the resort during your visit - including
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party! My son and I went last year for the first time and had a blast.
Thanks again for your question, Kristopher! I hope you have fun planning your upcoming trip.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
