What is the difference between an Annual Pass and a Premium Annual Pass? We are DVC members and will be visiting multiple times this year.

    Hi Kevin,

My family were Annual Passholders for years, and we recently switched to being Premium Annual Passholders. Walt Disney World Annual Passholders get a number of benefits. You get admission to all four of the Disney theme parks as well as the ability to visit more than one park in a day. You will be able to park for free at the Disney theme parks, and you will be eligible for passholder discounts on items such as dining, merchandise, and rooms at Walt Disney World resort hotels (discounts are subject to change). As a Walt Disney World Premium Annual Passholder, you will receive all of the above benefits plus many more. You will get admission to the Walt Disney World Water Parks, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, and one round of golf per day at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course. You also get admission to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on event days, but do some events will require an additional charge. The differences are noted at this online comparison of Annual Passes and Premium Annual Passes.

For my family, the addition of being able to visit the Walt Disney World Water Parks and DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park is what makes the Premium Annual Pass worth it. My whole family enjoys the water parks, and my husband and daughter love visiting DisneyQuest. Of course, the Premium Annual Pass will cost more than the regular annual pass, so you will have to figure this into your decision. You should know that right now, there are often discounted prices for Disney Vacation Club members on certain types of annual passes. I just checked the Disney ticket website, and if you log in as a Disney Vacation Club member today, you can see savings on both the Annual Pass and Premium Annual Pass.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Kevin. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
