Boo to you, Jeanne! It looks like you'll be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few days, and with
Halloween in full swing throughout the parks and resorts, you'll have plenty of exciting ways to celebrate the season even without attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Let's dive right into my bag of tricks (and treats!) to find some seasonal fun options for you and your mouseketeers!
Jeanne, Magic Kingdom Park is in its fall splendor even during regular park hours - you can still enjoy seeing the Mickey-shaped pumpkins all along Main Street, U.S.A. and snapping some fun photo memories as well! One of my favorite seasonal offerings is at the Silhouette Portrait Carts, where the artists are offering some Halloween-exclusive designs for purchase during regular park hours on both silhouettes and parasols. You'll also find an assortment of
seasonal snacks at
Main Street Confectionery and
Big Top Souvenirs in Fantasyland! And don't forget to visit the happy haunts at the Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square! Your kiddos will also enjoy so many other attractions at Magic Kingdom, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Barnstormer!
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, to find a little Halloween fun, try to snag a dining reservation at
Hollywood and Vine to celebrate Minnie's Seasonal Halloween Dine - here, you'll find characters dressed in their Halloween attire and have a chance to snap some photos with them as they visit your table! Your kiddos will also love visiting Toy Story Land and playing in Andy's Backyard -
Woody's Lunch Box is even offering a Halloween-exclusive Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart!
In EPCOT,
Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit has just materialized! This interactive scavenger hunt will send you in search of pumpkins throughout the park; as you find them, mark them on your game board (available at select retail stores throughout EPCOT) and then return your completed mission to claim your prize! I'd also recommend taking your kiddos to
SeaBase to visit with all the different species of marine animals; this has always been a favorite stop for my girls at every age and stage of life!
And don't overlook
Disney Springs for some Halloween fun - my family had a blast visiting the PhotoPass Studio last month to take pictures in Mickey's Pumpkin Patch! There's no reservation required and no cost to stop in and pose for some pictures, and if you have Memory Maker, the downloads are included!
Jeanne, I hope this helps you to add some magical Halloween touches to your vacation! Your kids are at a perfect age to embrace the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort, and I have no doubt you'll make so many memories together! If you have any other questions before your visit, come back to
planDisney and let us know! We're all ears!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
