I didn't realise how big POR is when I booked. My daughter has asthma and is fine most of the time but I worry that we could be 20+mins walk from the lobby if she was ill. We won't have a car. I love the look of POR but might we be better off elsewhere?

    Hi Jill!

Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort, but it is a large resort.  I recommend switching to Port Orleans French Quarter if you are worried about size, because French Quarter is the smallest Disney Moderate Resort.  You can also try requesting a room closest to the lobby or a bus stop, but since sometimes requests can not be honored, you should make the switch if you are concerned.  French Quarter is a favorite of many Walt Disney World veterans!  Also, guests of French Quarter can use all of the services and amenities of Riverside, including the pool.  The Downtown Disney boat that stops at French Quarter will also stop at Riverside, so you can use the boat to get between the two!

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your decision, and write back if you have any more questions!
