Welcome to planDisney Katie!
I am so sorry you are having trouble booking your
Theme Park Reservations for your travel dates. Let's try a few things to keep your vacation magical!
I am guessing you already have your Theme Park Tickets purchased. If so, make sure they are linked to each of your travel guests on your
My Disney Experience. Then comes the part that is very important: Keep checking for any availability for Theme Park Reservations! Guests are always moving their plans around so you might get a bit of pixie dust and be able to lock in a reservation. Right up to your travel days, keep trying! Make sure you are logged into your My Disney Experience when checking. Check several times a day and do this every day. You just never know. All 4 parks are a blast, so enjoy whatever park becomes available.
If you did NOT purchase your Theme Park Tickets yet, you can simply hold off buying the tickets until you see if there is availability. That is up to you how you want to handle that.
So, what to do on days you do not get a Theme Park Reservation? I think you will be so happy with all there is to experience at Walt Disney World! Start with your resort. I do not know where you are staying, but most resorts all around the Orlando area have wonderful pool areas. You are on vacation, so kick back and enjoy the sun!
Plan a day at
Disney Springs. Enjoy shopping, dining, bowling at Splitsville or catch a movie. Little ones love the Lego Store. While in Disney Springs, see if there is any live entertainment planned on their main stage.
If mini-golf is your thing, stop by
Winter Summerland for a super fun time. My family loves these 2 courses, as they are fun to play and super cute.
You should have great weather in April, so check out
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon (no reservations needed). It is one magnificent water park. Your family will enjoy an entire day of fun on the slides and splashing in the amazing wave pool.
For a magical evening, book a
Dining Reservation at the Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. After dinner, head out to their beach to watch
Disney Enchantment, then hang around to see the
Electrical Water Pageant. It will be a night to remember!
You might also want to go to Disney's Beach Club Resort and make a Dining Reservations for Beaches and Cream. Enjoy lunch or just some delicious ice cream. After, hop on the
Disney Skyliner just steps away from the Beach Club. Zoom around and get a bird's eye view of parks, resorts, and more! Disney transportation around property is complimentary and does not require reservations or tickets.
These are just a few ideas and only the beginning of all you can experience at Walt Disney World. If you want more ideas, stop back. But, I'm holding out hope that a Theme Park Reservation opens up for your family. Best wishes to all.
