Hi Shazia,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am always delighted to greet another member of the Annual Passholder family!
Currently, if you have purchased a new Annual Pass, the point of activation is the point at which you first use it to enter a theme park. The pass is then good for one year. If you do not activate a pass within one year from the date of purchase, it will expire. The
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions currently specify:
The amount paid for an unactivated, expired Pass may be applied towards the purchase of a new Pass or ticket (subject to availability) at the then current price so long as the new Pass or ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original Pass.
Having been a member of the Annual Passholder family for a few years now, I have visited more than I anticipated. I always consider the value of the Annual Pass. With it, I have been able to take advantage of some wonderful
Special Offers for Annual Passholders on
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stays. That savings has allowed me to visit more often. And although some of those visits are short visits, I am grateful to have a chance to experience the magic each and every time!
As you decide how and when you might be able to use your pass, take a look at the special
discounts on select experiences, merchandise, and dining. I love using my AP discount and I calculate that savings into our estimates for trip costs. I have also used it for select experiences with the
Enchanting Extras Collection.
Shazia, I hope this helps! Keep in mind that if you renewed your pass, the expiration date will remain the same. For example, I renewed my pass this year, within the
30-day renewal window after it had expired. My expiration date was July 24, 2024 and is now July 24, 2025. If you have other questions specific to your Annual Pass, I suggest that you
call to speak to a cast member. They can take a look at your account and pass details. Then, continue the
practically perfect planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
